The Taste of Africa event was organised by Sharon Kostini together with the African Welsh News organisation. The event took place at ‘The Creative Plug Cymru gallery in the Capitol Centre which is also run by Sharon. She's also the founder of ‘The Creative Plug Cymru and Curated by Sian Holley & Pirate alongside with a handful of volunteers. The Taste Of Africa Event is the begining of experiencing, celebating & learning about African cultures, food, fashion, music and dance.

Riverside Festival

The Riverside Festival is an outdoor community event that took place at Despencer Garden in Riverside. The task was to create and set up a DIY photo booth for portrait images. Pirate set up a gazebo which we then decorated with balloons and other props to match the festival theme of the overall event. I was also in charge of supervising and coordinating the two young photographers hired by Steps4change for the event.

For this project, I was in charge of the styling concept for the upcoming artist Aisha Kigs. Her music video is sponsored by BBC Horizon and is set to be released in the summer of 2023. The music video is entirely shot in Wales showcasing the beautiful Welsh landscape.

Exhibition: Alienated Magazine

This is the first Alienated Magazine exhibition taking place in St David’s Centre, in town. The exhibition was hosted by Steps4change in partnership with tactile Bosch and Umbrella Cardiff. I was in charge of scouting the right location for the exhibition to take place and also assembling all the artwork that will be showcased. I worked with each artist to produce their chosen artwork, written piece and garments. We had a wide variety of artwork submitted by schools and freelance artists. Together with my team Sian, Pirate Kate and many others we work tirelessly to put up all the artwork, on display.
