Exhibition: Alienated Magazine

This is the first Alienated Magazine exhibition taking place in St David’s Centre, in town. The exhibition was hosted by Steps4change in partnership with tactile Bosch and Umbrella Cardiff. I was in charge of scouting the right location for the exhibition to take place and also assembling all the artwork that will be showcased. I worked with each artist to produce their chosen artwork, written piece and garments. We had a wide variety of artwork submitted by schools and freelance artists. Together with my team Sian, Pirate Kate and many others we work tirelessly to put up all the artwork, on display. We chose a very creative and effective way of displaying each piece to stand out and be in’s sync with the remaining artwork. The exhibition lasted for seven days and attracted a lot of crowds throughout. On the launch day, we had several performances from different artists. From Alan who played his guitar to Alex who performed two songs and Mujib who danced with his crew. We also placed feedback boxes around the exhibition space so viewers can share their thoughts with us and the artists. This will help us improve everyone’s experience next time and also allow the artists to see how much people appreciate their artwork. The success of this exhibition has led to an upcoming exhibition taking place in St Fagans.
